Despite the best efforts of the likes of the New York Times and the San Francisco Chronicle to ignore the story, the Washington Times reports that President Obama extended the main portions of liberal-abhorred Patriot Act first passed by George W. Bush after 9/11. As George Friedman insightfully pointed out, presidents campaign on ideals and govern on realities. It’s refreshing to see this president for once put national security above his own hug-it-out stance on terrorist and their state sponsors.
